When extruded from collapsible tubes, or cartridge, it reacts with the moisture in the air and will cure into a resilient elastomer at room temperature. KE-40RTV is self-extinguishing type, and meets UL-94, V-0. The cured rubber of KE-45RTV has excellent resistance to heat, cold, weather, and excellent dielectric properties. NOTE: When cured under enclosed circumstances, KE-40RTV may cause corrosion of some metals e.g. copper. Accordingly, the acetone type (KE 3490RTV, this meets UL-94, V-1) should be used in circumstances where metal corrosion will occur. Advice on particular applications will be provided on request.
