Presentation. Bring in some magazines and newspapers to the class. (Books closed.) Tell the students I was busy yesterday. Prompt the students to ask: What did you do? Answer the students First I cleaned my room. Then I called a friend. Next, I sent emails to my friends. After that, I watched a film. Revise the structures with the students and remind them of the use of the past tense. Hold up a magazine and say It’s a magazine. Do you read mazagines at home? Tell the students You can also read magazines and newspapers at the library. Introduce get a haircut, meet a friend, do martial arts and hike to the students. Explain their meanings and tell the students where people can do these things, e.g. get a haircut at a hair salon, meet a friend at the station, do martial arts at the gym, hike at a mountain. Write the new words on the board. Play the disc. First let them listen to it once, Then ask them to read after it. 教 学 过 程 Practice Show the content of each picture and play the disc. Ask them to complete what Pat says according to the pictures and the words below them.
