Abstract The mechanism used for sliding gate of steel ladle is the key equipment in the steel ladle . In steel making production it is used for control the flow rate when the molten steel is casting.The stability of mechanism used for sliding gate of steel ladle affects smooth production process. Its service life and effection not only influences the cost of per ton steel but aslo influences the turnover of steel ladle ， the production scheduling and the labor intensity. In this paper we introduce the composition ,work principle ,characteristics，structure and optimization measuresand of the mechanism used for sliding gate of LSG60— 120A1.We introduce how to control the flow rate when the molten steel is casting , to assure the system run steadily, to stop the breakout of steel, to achieve the purpose of saving energy and reducing power dissipation ,to reduce the labor intensity and to ensure the stable production.
