A Fare well speech at the graduation ceremony of the American teachers -Chinese cultural studies program Distinguished Guests, professors, my dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen, good morning, it is such an honor for me to speak at the graduation ceremony on behalf of all the teacher trainees. The last 2 months have been transformative, looking back, we find we have changed considerably, and both our language proficiency and our consciousness of Chinese culture, every time we attended the classes, we derived the utmost pleasure from being exposed to endless flow of beautiful language, to a great variety of ingenious activities, if they had not been witnessed by us, they would have been considered Impossible Such Communication-oriented classroom teaching, I would dare say, bears great resemblance to a mental journey ---interesting, yet enlightening, adventurous while fruitful Yet it is time to say goodbye. As every good thing must have an ending, when we arrived here, it was late winter, now when I look out of my window from time to time, I always see deep red flowers on fences, blazing bright like flames in the sun Such a beautiful city so friendly a people we feel reluctant to go. For if given a longer time, we would be able to reap more enjoyment and friendship from living here. But considering that there is a plenty of work awaiting us, and that our students are expecting us to be back, we do think it is high time that we did our bit for our students. Before concluding my speech, I would like to deliver my acknowledgements to my university, for without their financial support of 5500 Yuan rmb, my study tour would have been impossible.
