General 1.1 These Testing and Certification Regulations apply to tests, audits, conformity assessment procedures as per EC directives and to certifications carried out by TüV Product Service / TüV Management Service (hereinafter referred to as TüV PS/MS). The services offered by TüV PS/MS also include providing advice for their clients. In this context, provision of advice covers, for example, information on licensing procedures in other countries or other economic areas. Advice on product design and development or on system establishment is not provided. 1.2 With receipt of the first certificate, the client automatically becomes a partner in the TüV PS/MS certification system, which he/she remains for as long as at least one certificate is valid. In addition, a certificate only becomes valid after all TüV PS/MS requirements in connection with the test/audit and product/system certification have been settled. 1.3 With each order the client acknowledges the validity of the current version of the General Terms and Conditions, the Price List and these Testing and Certification Regulations. Existing contractual relationships are governed by the currently valid versions of these documents. Prior to placing an order, the client shall inform TüV PS/MS if the product or system to be tested/audited has already been audited/tested in a similar way by another institution. 1.4 The certification body evaluates the documents submitted by the testers/auditors. It decides on whether a certificate is to be issued and handles disagreements concerning certification by complaint procedures. 1.5 Certificates based on EC Directives relate to the version of each
