专题5　定语从句 考点1　as引导定语从句 1．As is often the case with children，Amy was better by the time the doctor arrived.(case) 就像其他小孩子的情况一样，医生到达时Amy好多了。 2．There is no simple answer，as is often the case in science.(case) 科学上常常是这样的，没有简单的答案。 3．A computer is so useful a machine as we can use everywhere.(use) 电脑是很有用的机器，因为我们到处都可以使用。 知识生成 1．as通常引导非限制性定语从句，先行词为整个主句。 2．as引导非限制性定语从句时，主句中往往有such，the same，as，so等词。 3．注意：such/so...that...(that引导结果状语从句)和such/so...as...(as引导定语从句)的区别。 He is such a good boy that we all like him. 他是那么好的一个男孩，我们都喜欢他。 He is such a good boy as we all like. 他那么好我们都喜欢。 考点2　where引导定语从句 1．Sales director is a position where communication ability is just as important as sales skills.(ability) 导购员是一个沟通能力和销售能力同样重要的职位。 2．It’s helpful to put children in a situation where they can see themselves differently.(see) 把孩子们放在一个让他们能从不同角度看待自己的情境中是有益的。 知识生成 当先行词为position，case，point，stage，situation，condition等，且定语从句中不缺少主要成分时，常用where引导定语从句，此时where相当于under which，from which，意为“在这种情况下，从……中”。一些不是明显表示地点的名词作先行词时，也常用where引导定语从句。如： He wrote a letter where he explained what had happened in the accident.
