1. Teach new words: gloves, umbrella, scarf, sunglasses
1) Teach words: gloves, scarf
T does action of “cold”, and says: It ’s cold today. I wear gloves and a scarf.
Meanwhile, T wears her“gloves”and “scarf”.
T: Look! What are these? And what’s that?
Lead to the sentences: They are gloves.’sIt a scarf.
Teach words “gloves”and “scarf”. Pay attention to the plural form. (scarf – scarves)
Drill words.
2) Teach words: umbrella, sunglasses
T does action of “hot”, and says: It’s hot today. It’s sunny. The sun is shining. I want to wear sunglasses and I want to take an umbrella. Meanwhile, take out a pair of sunglasses and an umbrella.
These are sunglasses and that is an umbrella. Read and drill these two words.
3) Summary
Show word cards of the words “gloves, umbrella, scarf, sunglasses”. Ss read as
quickly as possible. Then show plural words and master them: gloves, sunglasses, shoes, socks, pants, shorts.
4) Activity: Point out the unreasonable clothes
Set the situations and find out the unreasonable clothes:
a. T: It’s raining. I want to wear sunglasses and take an umbrella.
S1: Sunglasses.
b. T: It’s hot. I want to wear sunglasses and a scarf.
S1: Scarf.
c. T: It’s very cold. I want to wear shorts, gloves and a
