He improved Russia's army and created a navy and won many wars against other countries making Russia a large country . In 1703, he founded the city of St. Petersburg on territory taken from Sweden and made it the capital of Russia.It was a beautiful city with many large buildings ,Statues and museums etc.Most of them looked like something out of a fairy tale.
