The Beauty of My Hometown I have enjoyed traveling since childhood and made up my mind at a young age to travel around the country when I grew up. Nowadays I have visited more than 10 provinces. Out of all the places I have been, the most stunning scene I have ever seen was in Jiujiang city, where I was born and raised. Jiujiang, located in North Jiangxi, lies to the south juncture of the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River. It sits on the boundary of four provinces ---- Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan and Anhui. It has long been enjoying high reputation ever since the ancient China that “The Xunyang city surrounded by nine waters is as beautiful as a painting.” Jiujiang, with a range of waters collecting, is one of the charming cities in China. Scenery of one river, one lake and one mountain, has endowed her with exclusive beauties not found in any other city in China. You can experience classic elegance by the Yangtze River; you can feel heroic spirit by the Poyang Lake. Named as “the Most Beautiful Wetland in China”, Poyang Lake is a crucial migration passage and a perch place for a large number of endangering migratory birds. As an intersection of Beijing-Kowloon Railway and the Yangtze River, connecting east and west, north and south, Jiujiang has become the new-era “Business Center in Middle Provinces”. Just as the feature film “Romance on Mount Lu” said, which was the first love film after the Cultural Revolution in China, produced by Shanghai Film Studio,“Surrounded by rivers, lakes and mountains, a beautiful new city jumps into our eyes.” Making full use of resources along the 152-kilometer-long line of the Yangtze river, we are sparing no effort to develop riverine large-scale industry, to create a new engine to promote regional development and to strive for a more beautiful and livable homeland. All in all, nowhere else on this planet can rival with my hometown in beauty.
