the problems, look like a real person, take photos of everything

Step 1 lead in
To raise students’ interest, get students thinking and talking about robots:
Have you seen robots in the films?
What kind of robots do you know?
Do you like robots? Why?
Would you like to buy a robot in the future? Why?
What do you think robots can do for you?
Do you think robots are cleverer than human beings? Why or why not?
Step 2: welcome to the unit
1. The purpose of this part is to activate student’s knowledge of robots and generate interests of this topic. Ask one
student to read the phrases in the word box at the top of page 19. Make sure that all students understand the meanings of
the phrases such as ‘do the laundry, explorer dangerous places’ in their own words.
2. Explain the context. Ask students to complete the conversation on Page 23 on their own.
3. Read the conversation.
Step 3. Comic strips:Listen to the tape for the first time to answer questions.
1 Why is Eddie writing a complain letter?
2 What does Eddie aks Hobo to do?
3 Ask some students to read and act out the comic strip.
Step 3: Vocabulary : Learn different parts of a robot and their functions
1 Fill in the blanks of part B on P 28, check the answers.
