A City of Heroes;;St. Petersburg;Peter I, the Great; Peter I, the Great, (1672-1725) One of the most famous rulers in history. He ruled first as Czar (king) of Russia and later became Russia’s first emperor.He changed Russia from a weak country into a great power. He improved Russia’s army and created a navy and won many wars against other countries making Russia a large country. ;In 1703, he founded the city of St. Petersburg on territory taken from Sweden and made it the capital of Russia.It was a beautiful city with many large buildings ,Statues and museums etc.Most of them looked like something out of a fairy tale.;Questions: Which river runs through the city of Petersburg?
