When the sample does not meet all of the algorithm’s criteria the result will fail. The TOP will display a red exclamation point on the status indicator of a sample, when a failure has occurred. This allows the operator to identify the failed samples easier. To review the clot curve the operator must access the Sample List using the Sample List icon (highlight around Sample List icon appears at down arrow) Another error that can occur is “curve minimum and maximum not in correct sequence” demonstrated by this example. Looking at the y-axis we see that there is a very small amount of change; the y-axis starts around 29 and ends around 32…a difference of 3. This error is very similar to the minimum delta not found error we just saw, only the beginning of the curve began higher than the end of the curve. Considering how little change there is in mAbs, this is essentially a straight line magnified over 120 sec. As with the previous example, the TOP will likely repeat this sample in the APTT-SS E mode which looks for clot formation for 400 seconds. This is the APTT-SS E rerun of the previous sample. This particular sample failed to meet the minimum delta criteria, but appears to be starting to clot greater than 300 seconds. Here is another example of a minimum delta not found error. Notice the curve begins around 19.8 and ends around 22.1. Again a change of 3 which is less than the minimum delta criteria of 10. The TOP reran this sample in the ext
