This paper mainly introduced the principle and the main contents of BeiDou special standard Performance requirements and test methods for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) timing unit, and determining the basis for the main content is also included. Additionally, timing mode, timing accuracy and test methods have been discussed as well. It pointed out that this specification full referenced to the relevant standard of timing equipment at home and abroad, and strive to be consistent with both domestic and international standards with innovation, laying the foundation for an international application.
