We both were so excited that we were finally going to be able to relax and see some sights. We w ere set o n go ing to a reso rt abo ut fo ur ho urs’ d rive f ro m o ur dormitory. Quite excited about our upcoming trip （即将到来的旅行）, we w e re ta lking a bo ut it w hile gett ing lunc h . O ne of o ur c lass mat es overheard our topic and called our attention. She told us about how they also went to t he same resort （娱乐场所） last year and had a bad experience. She told us about how bad the service was, and that the facilit ies （设备） in t he resort were old and broken dow n. We were surprised, since this is not what we expected to hear about the place we planned to visit. She suggested a resort closer to town and much newer than the one we wanted to visit . She said that it was j ust constructed a few months ago, and all the equipment and rooms were still new. With a heavy heart, we booked our trip for the new destination. We left for the resort early in the morning so that we could make the most of the time we had there. Upon arriving at our destination, we were both surprised at how beautiful the place was. The staff was so attentive to whatever we needed, and even gave us an upgraded （升级的） room, since we were the only guests that weekend . Safe to say, we enj oyed ourselves the entire time we were there. We swam in their pool and stayed out on the poolside most of the day.
