Period 2 Listening (Section A 1b, 2a, 2b/Section B 2a, 2b)
Ⅰ.Pre-listen
Review the new words and phrases and new sentence structure
What are you doing for ..??是一个现在进行时态的句子,用来询问将来的计划、打算等,通常用在口语中。回答时也用进行时态表示计划、打算要做的事情。
——What are you doing for vacation?
——I’m going sightseeing.
Ⅱ.Section A 1a (12mins)
1. Whole class: talk about what are the people in the pictures doing for vacation first.
Teacher’s analysis: tell the true answers about what are the people doing.
3. Listen time
Listen for the first time: ask students to get the main idea of listening material.
(2)Listen for the second time: ask students to listen carefully and then number the pictures.
(3) Listen for the third time: check the answers (1mins)
(4)Students need to consolidate and digest the knowledge by reading the material.
Ⅲ.Competition(3mins)
Close the book and retell the conversation.
The winner will be the one who can retell more content and be more correct to the rest of classmates.
Ⅳ.Section A 2a/2b (15mins)
pre-listen
Help students familiar with the content (when/who/what) in the chart.
Help students listen more easier by review the new sentence structure.
Listen time
(1) Listen for the first time: ask students to get the main idea of listening material.
(2)Listen for the second time: ask students to listen carefully and then fill in the chart under “what”.
(3) Listen for the third time: ask students to fill in the chart under “when”.
(4) Listen for the fourth time: check the answers and retell a sentence by sentence.
(5) Students need to consolidate and digest the knowledge by reading the material and make a dialogue with partner.
Ⅴ. Game show (4mins)
Close the book and then use the listening material to make a conversation with partners.
Show the performance in the class.
The winner will be the group that perform fluently and emotionally (winner will get the present).
