Let them enjoy the beautiful pronunciation. Listen to a song under the same aim. Step Two :Pre – task Present the phrase on the blackboard. ( an + apple ) Let the students read. If they separate the words, draw a line to link ‘n’ and ‘a’. Tell them it’s the first way to link words. Present the phrase ‘best time’, then read and teach them it’s the second way. Present the phrase ‘we enjoy’, then read and teach them it’s the third way. Present the phrase ‘go out’, then read and teach them it’s the fourth way. Step Three :While – task Task 1 Listen to the tape, repeat after the tape. (once) Task 2 Read individually. Give them three minutes to practice. Then Read together. If they can’t read some words correctly, ask them to listen to the tape again. Task 3 Read the group words one by one. Compare which group is the best one without making any mistakes. Add some marks for the first three groups. Step Four: Post-task Make sure that your students have learned when to link well. Then test them. Choose the rules of the four groups below. Then ask some students to read them. Encourage them how to read a longer phrases or sentences fluently. Give them two or three minutes to practice. When they read, they should link the words with pens. 1). travel around the world 2). have a picnic 3). She did a very good job 4). We have some money at home.
