When talking to the doctor, it’s important to describe the problem clearly and completely. Patients can bring a family member or friend for support – and for help with language difficulties. It’s appropriate for patients to ask the doctor questions about anything he or she says. In cases of very serious medical problems, some patients will also see another doctor to get a “second opinion” about the best treatment. Doctors will listen to ailments, ask a few questions and then prescribe medicine and give some advice. Set-up: The class is divided into two groups: Doctors and Patients. Doctors are given the Doctors Activity Sheet and
