Enable the students to understand the basic knowledge of the structure and composition of the inorganic compounds, master the basic concepts and theories in order to study the properties and the variation of the important elements and their compounds. The students will have the ability to know, analyze and solve the practical chemistry problems, which is a foundation for studying the following courses. The basic principles of chemical reactions are the main line for the first half of this course in which chemical thermodynamics, chemical kinetics, hydrochemistry and electrochemistry are given. At the same time, energy, atmospheric pollution, water pollution and metal corrosion are introduced. The structure theories and properties of chemicals are the main line for the second half. The structure and characteristics of atom, molecules and biological macromolecules are presented.
