You can’t /mustn’t/ aren’t allowed to… 2. Work in pairs and write some rules for the school bus. Give them some ideas to help. Talk about the rules in pairs like the following: —First, don’t make phone calls on the school bus. —I think this one is not very important… Step 2 Six basic tenses 1. Show each of the basic tenses on the PPT. Get Ss to say out their structure one by one. Give out some special uses of the tenses. 2. A1: Complete the sentences with the correct form of the words and expressions in the brackets. Call back answers from the class and get them to say why. 3. Show more exercises to consolidate the tenses. Step 3 The adverbial clause 1. Show different kinds of adverbial clauses on PPT. Get them to translate them correctly and pay attention to the conjunction words. 2. A2: Complete the sentences with the words or expressions in the box. Call back answers from the class by having them to read and translate the sentences. Check the answers with the class. 3. A3: Complete the passage with the correct form of the words and expressions in the box. Check the answers with a partner.
