Show the pictures of Confucius, Shakespeare and Mark Twain to get students to talk about them in passive voice. Eg. We are still influenced by Confucius’s ideas. Shakespeare’s plays and poems are still seen and read by us today. Mark Twain’s stories are set in the south of the Us. 2. Show Liuxiang’s photos and talk about them. Eg. After 2004, he was invited to competitions around the world. He was chosen for the Chinese Team at the Athens Olympic Games. He was trained by his coach. 3. Show some photos and discuss: Will books be replaced by the Internet? 4. Summarize different categories of passive voice including the structures and the usage. Make sure they can use the structures correctly and they can tell different categories. Step 2 The practice of passive voice 1.
