* * Patients with unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction (NQMI) are at very high risk of acute ischaemic events. The current standard of care for patients hospitalized with these acute coronary syndromes is combination antithrombotic therapy comprising intravenous (IV) unfractionated heparin plus oral aspirin.
