Hubei Caihua Tea Industry Co., Ltd., Wufeng 443400, China Abstract:Abstract: In recent half century, tea deep-processing industry has greatly developed. Natural active compounds were found, isolated and applied. Now, diversified products, such as foods, natural medicines, health care products and food additives have been developed with active substances such as tea polyphenols, amino acids, saponin, polysaccharides as well as caffeine. Most of these natural active compounds are derived from roots, stems, flowers, leaves and fruits. This review summarized the recent research achievements and utilizations of tea resources in three areas of China, introduced four new tea materials, recent achievements and transformation situation and hope more and more people to participate in the tea industrial activity for human health.
