In order to verify this view ，taking Cao Xueqin ’s novel named A Dream of Red Mansions as an example ，uses complex network method to model character relationship ，and uses NetworkX software package to calculate the network index and analyze the structural characteristics of the network. The results show that the diameter of the character relationship of the novel is consistent to the six degree separation theorem ，it ’s social relationship structure is similar to that of the real world.
