Module 8Sports lifeUnit 1 Daming wasn’t chosen for Module 8 Sports life 教材分析 This is the first lesson in this module. The listening material is information about sports. It’s a good text to help the students improve their listening strategies, such as getting information from the listening material. 教学目标 【知识目标】 Key words: memory, point, decision, excuse, noon, seat, fair, kick, mad Key phrases: stand for, no way, play against, be mad at, nice work, cheer for Key sentences: Daming wasn’t chosen for the team last time. He’s so mad at us that he’ll try harder to win, just to show we’re wrong. I do hope they win this time. 【能力目标】 To be able to understand the dialogue about introduction of sports matches. I do hope they win this time. 【教学难点】 To improve listening and speaking abilities. 课前准备Multimedia 教学过程 Step I Warming up and leading in Warm up Talk about Olympic Games together. The Olympic Games were held in Beijing in 2008. 51 gold medals were won by China. Free talk Ss name the sports they know and talk about their favorite sports. Exercise Listen and complete the sentences. Tony’s basketball matches Tony’s basketball matches are held Saturday. If a school team in Beijing wins its match or scores over points in a match, it can play in the competition. Tony’s team BIG stands for Beijing Giants.
