In learning a second language, there are many factors that contribute to effective vocabulary learning, such as personal motivation, learning environment, and learning strategies (Schmitt, 2000). However, for vocational students who need to use professional English in their future work, vocabulary learning becomes more challenging as they are required to learn technical terms and jargon related to their field of study. The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of vocabulary learning strategies for vocational students in Taizhou City and to provide suggestions for improving their vocabulary learning.
