《英语导游》课程教学大纲 总学时数：24 总学分数： 1.5 课程性质：专 业 任 选 课 适用专业：旅 游 管 理 一、课程的任务和基本要求： 随着出入境旅游的持续发展和旅游市场的开放，导游的职责分工也经历了很多变化。本 课程力图勾勒出目前英语导游工作涉及的各个方面，让 学 生 在 学 习 的过 程 中做 到基 础 知 识 与 专 业 知 识 相 结合 ， 以便 更 好 地 在 实 际工 作 中发 挥 专 业 特 长 ，提 供 优 质 服 务 。课 程 要 求 学 生 了解 现 代 旅 游 业 的发 展 状 况 和 趋 势 ，熟 知 导游 领 队职 责 与 带 团技 巧 ，掌握 地 陪工 作 的职 责 范 围 ，熟 悉 中 国 的旅 游 资源 ，并 能 结 合 中 国文 化 熟 练 地 介 绍 中 国的旅 游 景 点 。 二、基本内容和要求： PartⅠ: Modern Tourism Industry, two units of which are to be studied. They are Unit 1: The Travel and Tourism Industry and Unit 5: Names and Roles of Tourist Guides. Basic requirements: Be familiar with the travel and tourism industry, travel agencies and tour operators; types of tours, and names and roles of the tourist guides. Part Ⅱ: Tour Managers Responsibilities and communicative Skills, two units of which are to be studied. They are Unit 6: Pre-tour Preparations and Unit 12: Handling Emergencies. Basic requirements: Know how to make the pre-tour preparations, how to help the guests check in and checkout, how to handle emergencies. Part Ⅲ: Work and Responsibilities of Local Guides, two units of which are to be studied. They are Unit 14: Meeting Guests At the Airport and Unit 19: Creating Memorable Interpretations. Basic requirements: Be able to make improvisational speeches to the tourists, master some basic skills to make commentaries, and know some techniques to handle emergencies concerning local guiding. Part Ⅳ: Understanding Events, two units of which are to be studied. They are Unit 22: Olympics and Unit 24: MICE. Basic requirements: Be able to combine tourism activities with some events, e.g, sports and exhibitions. Part Ⅴ: Interpreting China’s Highlights, two units of which are to be studied.
