In order to better engage in global business activities through multinational companies, companies often adopt non-equity arrangements. This paper aims to explore the use of non-equity arrangements by multinational companies in the host country, analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these arrangements, and provide suggestions. Firstly, this paper discusses the background and reasons why multinational companies use non-equity arrangements in different countries. Secondly, this paper introduces the common types of non-equity arrangements used in the international arena, such as technology transfer, franchise and management contracts. Then, this paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of multinational companies when using these non-equity arrangements, the advantages include reducing costs, risk diversification and improving management efficiency, while the disadvantages may include compliance risks and inability to obtain capital gains. Finally, suggestions are proposed, including maintaining transparency, avoiding legal risks, and improving training and management levels of local employees. Through the research of this paper, it can be found that the advantages and risks of non-equity arrangements used by multinational companies in the host country, and this information is very helpful for multinational company managers and government
