What is classroom management ???Classroom management skills: knowing how to organize the beginning of a lesson, or how to get students to raise their hands instead of shouting out answers. (Ur 1996)
The moment-by-moment decisions and actions concerning organization of the classroom and activities, e.g. seating and grouping arrangements, starting and stopping activities. (Scrivener 1994)
Classroom management includes procedures for grouping students for different types of classroom activities, use of lesson plans, handling of equipment, aids, etc., and the direction and management of student behavior and activity. (Richards, Platt and Platt, 2000)
The teacher’s ability to cooperatively manage time, space, resources and student roles and student behaviors to provide a climate that encourages learning (Alberto Troutman,1986)
