Enshi Prefecture is the area where Tujia people live together. Enshi Tumiao Autonomous Prefecture is mostly mountainous area. The terrain of Enshi Tumiao Autonomous Prefecture is very different. The geographical environment, inconvenient transportation and information blockade of one mountain after another make the Tujia people in Enshi love to sing folk songs. There are various kinds of folk songs, which can be divided into love songs, life songs, wedding songs, tray songs, etiquette songs and so on. Love songs are an important part of Enshi Tujia folk songs. Tujia people living in remote mountainous areas have no other media to convey their own thoughts.
