Service Organizations: Campus Kitchen Alpha Phi Omega Relay for Life Micah Program John Cook School of Business Service Leadership Program ACADEMIC ENGLISH Academic English Program Overview • 6 levels, plus foundation level • 22/wk hours fall and spring; 28/wk hours summer • Course work covering the core skills of reading, writing, listening, vocabulary and gr r •Avg class size: 15 Academic English Start Dates Spring, Summer and Fall Fall and Spring are 16 weeks, Summer is 10 weeks Entry Requirements mended high school GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale Age Requirement 16 year old and above English Language cement Progression through the program • All Academic English students are required to take an English Language cement test during orientation. The cement testing consists of an institutional TOEFL (PBT) and Saint Louis University Evaluation (SLUWE). • Students will be ced into the appropria evel based on the cement exam results. To move from one level of Academic English to the next, students are required to meet the appropriate TOEFL PBT and SLUWE score. Progression Requirements from Academic English To Standard 2 Semester Undergraduate Pathway • Completion of Academic English Level 5 and TOEFL PBT 510 and SLUWE 3+
