Theresearchersinvestigatedthepotentialbenefitsofweeklyvirtualvisitsforathree-monthperiod.Theparticipantswerepeopleaged65andolderwholivedinMontreal.Halfoftheparticipantstookpartinonlinevisitsandadiscussionafterwards，whilethecontrolgroupdidnotparticipateinanyculturaleventsatall.Thegroupwhoparticipatedinthevirtualvisitsshowedimprovementsintheirqualityoflife.Ourstudyshowedthatart-basedactivitymaybeaneffectiveintervention，leadauthorDr.OlivierBeauchet，aprofessorattheUniversityofMontreal，saidinthepressrelease.Onaglobalscale，thisparticipatoryart-basedactivitycouldbecomeamodelthatcouldbeofferedinmuseumsandartsinstitutionsworldwidetopromoteactiveandhealthyaging.
