Onhiswayhomethatday,Wangwroteapoem,ManinaHurry,expressinghisfeelings.

“Windisbornfromairinahurry.Aknifeisforgedfromthewindinahurry...Maninahurryhasnofourseasons.Heonlyhasonestopafteranother.Hisworldisaboutthenameofaplace,”hewrote.

Sincethen,Wanghasbeenwritingpoemsinspiredbyhisdailylife,includingapoemNewTemple,whichwasconceivedafterhedeliveredfoodtoconstructionworkersrepairinganoldtemple,andForgive,basedonhisobservationofayoungcouplefighting.

Wang’spoems,simpleyetreal,areseenasatooltoprocesshisemotions,especiallythepersonalexperienceshehasduringhiswork.Hisheartishealedbywritingthepoems,andhehassharedthemwithhisfriends.In2022,oneofhisfriendspostedManinaHurryonline.Itquicklywentviralandwasviewedforover20milliontimes.

Thesameyear,Wangpublishedacollectionofmorethan180poems,underthesametitle.Thebook’scoverisblue,thesamecolorastheuniformthatWangwears.Hispoemsandstoriesdeeplytouchedmanypeople,whosharesimilarstrugglesandnegativeemotionintheirlives—somuchsothatthebook’sfirst5,000copie
