Purpose:TopresenttheexperiencewithTrabectomedrainagethroughthetrabecularmeshwork,Schlemm’s
forthetreatmentofadultopen-angleglaucoma.c,andcollectingchannels.Thesubconjunctivalfluid
Methods:Themainoutcomemeasureswereintra-collectsfocally,knownasa“bleb,”andtheaqueous
ocularpressure(IOP),glaucomamedications,andresorbsintotheepiscleralvenoussystem.Theblebfrom
secondarysurgeryinpatientsthatwerefollowedforatatrabeculectomyisproasignificantlong-term
leastoneyear.SuccessisIOP21mmHgand20%riskofinfectionwhileGDIsareprocorneal
reductionofIOPcomparedtopreoperativelevels,anddecompensation,erosionofoverlyingconjunctivawith
nosecondarysurgery.Results:Thesuccessratesubsequentexposure,andocularmotilityproblems.7
