Identificationandanalysisoflatentandemergentbehavioralpatternsarecoretasksininves-
tigativedomainssuchashomelandsecurity,counterterrorism,andcrimeprevention.Development
ofbehavioraltrajectorymodelsassociatedwithradicalizationandtrackingindividualsandgroups
basedonsuchtrajectoriesarecriticalforlawenforcementinvestigations,butthesearehampered
bysheervolumeandnatureofdatathatneedtobeminedandprocessed.Dynamicandcom-
plexbehaviorsofextremistsandextremistgroups,missingorincompleteinformation,andlack
ofintelligenttoolsfurtherobstructcounterterrorismefforts.Ourresearchisaimedatdeveloping
state-of-the-artcomputationaltoolswhilebuildingonrecentadvancesinmachinelearning,natural
languageprocessing(NLP),andgraphdatabases.
