9.1.5.3Systemrequirements

NMCforthemeasurementofNMHC,thesystemresponsetimemayexceed12,5s.

Alldata(concentration,fuelandairflows)havetobeshiftedbytheirmeasuredresponsetimesbefore

performingtheemissioncalculationsgiveninISO8178-4,Clause9andAnnexH.

b)Todemonstrateacceptableupdatingandrecordingwithrespecttothesystem’soverallresponse,

thesystemshallmeetoneofthefollowingcriteria:

1)Theproductofthemeanrisetimeandthefrequencyatwhichthesystemrecordsanupdated

concentrationshallbeatleast5.Inanycasethemeanrisetimeshallbenomorethan10s;

9.1.5.4Procedure

Thefollowingprocedureshallbeusedtoverifytheresponseofeachcontinuousgasanalysersystem:

a)Theanalysersystemmanufacturer’sstart－叩andoperatinginstructionsfortheinstrumentsetup

shallbefollowed.Themeasurementsystemshallbeadjustedasneededtooptimizeperformance.

Thisver甘icationshallberunwiththeanalyseroperatinginthesamemannerasusedforemission

testing.lftheanalysersharesitssamplingsystemwithotheranalysers,andifgasflowtothe

otheranalyserswillaffectthesystemresponsetime,thentheotheranalysersshallbestartedup

andoperatedwhilerunningthisverificationtest.Thisverificationtestmayberunonmulti
