NicholasRoyisaresearchassociateatResourcesfortheFuture(RFF).HejoinedRFFinJune2020toworkontheHaikuelectricitysectorsimulationmodel.UsingHaiku,Nickhasanalyzedanarrayofpoliciesincludingcleanenergytaxcredits,renewableenergystandards,andemissionspricing.Inadditiontoelectricitysectormodeling,Nickalsoemploysvariousresearchmethodstoanalyzefreightregulationandelectrificationinthetransportationsector.PriortojoiningRFF,Roywasa2019summerinternfor

ArtFraasinvestigatingenergyefficiencydeviceusageamongheavydutytrucks.Betweenthetwopositions,heresearchedportdrayagedisruptionsattheCenterforInternationalTradeandTransportation.HegraduatedfromCaliforniaStateUniversityLongBeachwithaBAineconomics,aBSinappliedmathematics,andaminorinphilosophy.

MayaDomeshekisaresearchassociateatRFF.Herresearchfocusesondecarbonizingtheelectricitysectorandthedistributionaleffectsofenvironmentalpolicy.SheworkswithRFF’sHaikuelectricitysectormodelandtheSocialWelfareIncidenceModel.Previously,shehasstudiedstatelevelelectricitydecarbonizationpolicyinVirginiaandPennsylvania,theimpactoftheInflationReductionAct,andgreenhousegasregulationsundertheCleanAirAct.
