practitioners.TheearliestrecordedworksonChinesemedicine
canbefoundintheYellowEmperorsInnerCanon,aclassic
medicaltextdatingbacktothe2ndcenturyBC.Thistextlaidthe
foundationforthetheoryandpracticeofTCM,emphasizingthe
balancebetweenYinandYang,thefiveelements,andtheflowof
Qiinthebody.
