Introduction
Museumshavealwaysbeenthebestsourcesofhistoryandculture.
Theyprovideavastcollectionofancientartifacts,artworks,andrelics,
whichtellstoriesofbygonetimesanderasinaninsightfulandastute
manner.Whilemuseumshaveundergoneseveraltechnological
advancementsovertheyears,itisvirtualrealitytechnologythatis
currentlyrevolutionizingthewayweexperiencemuseums.The
integrationofvirtualrealitytechnologyhasenabledmuseumsto
showcasetheircollectionstothemasses,regardlessoftheir
geographicallocation.Thispaperfocusesonthedesignand
implementationofthevirtualreality-basedmuseumexhibitionsystem.
Chapter1:VirtualRealityandItsApplicationinMuseums
Virtualrealitytechnologyreferstocomputer-generated
environmentswhereuserscanexperienceandinteractwithcomputer-
basedstimuliinanear-realisticmanner.Thetechnologyhasseen
immenseapplicationinseveralindustries,includingtourism,healthcare,
andeducation.However,theintegrationofvirtualrealitytechnologyin
themuseumindustryhasseenanunprecedentedtransformationof
museumexhibitionsinrecenttimes.Thetechnologyoffersan
