ISO407:2004EN标准描述的是小型医用气瓶中与压杆式连接接头配合使用的弹簧销型夹箍和对应的插片式截止阀等小型气瓶接头技术规范。此标准的主要目的是提供小型气瓶与管道系统的安全可靠连接的方法。这个连接形式通过压杆销接的规格设计保证了其强度的要求，并通过在高压条件下也能可靠使用的技术性能说明其设计的有效性。另外，插片式截止阀则主要用于实现阀的开启和关闭，保护气体系统不会在没有需要的情况下漏气。该标准特别适用于在医疗、工业或其他需要使用气体的场合中使用的各种小型气瓶。
