通过观察这些教材中的句子，我们可以看到这三个单词：am,is和are。am,is和are是be动词的三种形式。本单元我们重点学习be动词的用法。

通过表格可以看出：be动词的形式随主语的变化而变化，具体如下：

1.主语是第一人称单数l(我)时，be动词用am,Iam可缩写为Im。lam/lmagirl.我是一个女孩。

2.主语是第三人称单数、单数可数名词或不可数名词时，be动词用is。heis,sheis,itis和thatis可分别缩写为hes,shes,ts和thats,thisis不可以缩写。

Heis/Hesmyteacher.他是我的老师。

Hernameis/HernamesJenny.

她的名字是詹妮。

注意：(1)be动词还可与其他词缩写，例如：whatis=whats,thereis=theres等。be动词也可与not缩写，例如isnot=isnt,arenot=arent。am与not不能缩写。

(2)句中有be动词时，变否定句时，在be动词后加not;变一般疑问句时，把be动词提到主语之前。

3.主语是you(we,they,sheandI,these等)或复数可数名词(sevencoats,manypencils等)时，be动词用are。

Theyaremyfriends.他们是我的朋友。

记忆口诀

我(I)是am,你(you)是are,is连着他(he)她(she)它(it),单数

is,复数are,不要混淆要牢记。
