推土机操纵灵活、运转方便、所需工作面小、行驶速度快，能爬300左右的坡。适用于场地平整、开挖深度1.5m左右的基坑、移挖作填、填筑堤坝、回填基坑和基槽土方、为铲运机助铲、为挖掘机清理集中余土和创造工作面，修路开道、牵引其它无动力施工机械，大马力推土机还可犁松坚岩。
