Metalhalideperovskitesolarcells(PSCs)arepresently

attractingimmenseresearchinterestonthegloballeveldue

tothemeteoricriseoftheirsolartoelectricpower

conversionefficiency(PCE)from3%to20%withinaperiod

ofonlyafewyears.However,thesehighPCEvalueshaveso

farbeenreachedonlywithverysmalldeviceshavingan

illuminatedareaoftypicallylessthan0.1cm2.Alarmingly,

suchtop-performingcellsexhibitingeneralpoorstability.This

raisesthecrucialquestionwhetherthereportedimpressive

conversionefficienciescanbemaintaineduponscalingupto

largeareacells,whilesimultaneouslyachievinglong–term

stability.Ourstudyaddressesthesecriticalissues.Weintroduce

forthefirsttimehighlydopedinorganiccontactlayersforthe

selectiveextractionofphoto–generatedchargecarriersinplanar

CH3NH3PbI3–PCBMbasedPSCs.Thisallowedforfirsttimethe

fabricationofPSCswithanaperturearea1cm2exhibitingan

unprecedentedPCEofover15%,whichwascertifiedbyan

accreditedphotovoltaiccalibrationlaboratory.Theintroduction

ofthesehighlydopedchargeextractionlayerseliminatesthe

notorioushysteresisinthecurrentvoltagecurveofthedevice

andtheirrobustinorganicnaturerendersthePSCsverystable.

Theymaintain90%oftheinitialPCEafter1000hourslight

soakinginfullsunlight.O
