语法专题十一数词

常见的数词有两类：基数词和序数词。基数词用于表示数量多少，而序数数词用于表示次序，常在日期中出现。区别：基数词前面没有定冠词“the”；序数词前要有定冠词“the”。使用规则如下：

基数词

二十以上的两位数需要在个位和十位之间加上“”。如：21twentyone

三位数以上的需要在“百”后加上and，注意hundred是单数。如：101a/onehundredandone

用基数词来修饰可数名词时，名词用复数。如：三位男孩threeboys

用基数词修饰不可数名词时，如果在两个以上，变量词为复数，名词不变。如：两杯水twocupsofwater

表示年份：2002:twothousandandtwo;1976:nineteenseventysix.

表示编号：Room105→RoomoneOfive;BusNo.13→BusNumberThirteen;P.5→PageFive

表示时刻：5:15→fivefifteen或aquarterpastfive；8:30→eightthirty或halfpasteight；10:45→tenfortyfive或aquartertoeleven

小数的读法：5.7→fivepointseven；0.16→zeropointonesix.

序数词

基数词变序数词变化规则：

一二三特殊记，结尾各是t,d,d（first、second、third）。

其余th加后面（fourth）。

八去t，九去e（eighth、ninth），f来把ve替（fifth,twelfth）。

若是遇到整十数，ty变成tie（twentieth，thirtieth）。

若是遇到几十几，只变个位就可以（twentyfirst、twentysecond）。

表示日期：12月1日:Dec.1st或thefirstofDecember；2002年11月8日:Nov.8th,2002.

表示事物的次序和排名，如“thefirstpersoninline”；“Hefinishedinthirdplace.”
