In1995,whenIwastwelve,Ireadanarticleaboutatwelve-year-oldPakistaniboy,Iqbal,inthenewspaper.Itchangedmylife.Hestartedworkinginafactorywhenhewasonlyfour.Heknewchildrenshouldgotoschoolinsteadofworkinginfactoriesallday.Hedecidedtofightagainstthebosses.;Asaresult,abadmankilledhim.IwassoangrythatIdecidedtohelpthem.Igatheredmyfriendsandstartedagroup,theTwelveTwelve-Year-Olds.SoonmanychildrenjoinedusandthegroupbecameFreetheChildren.Weraisedmoneytohelpchildworkersgotoschool.“ChildrenHelpingChildren”isourmotto.Ibelieveonepersoncanmakeachange.NowFreetheChildhas100000membersin35countrieswhoarehelpingchildren.InKenyatherearepoorly-builtschoolswithnoroofsorwalls,soFreetheChildrenisbuildingnewschoolstheretohelpthem.
