Credits(includingtotheextenttowhichtheymaybeapplicable,Standby
Letter(s)ofCredit)wheretheyareincorporatedintothetextoftheCredit.
Theyarebindingonallpartiesthereto,unlessotherwiseexpressly
stipulatedintheCredit.
Article2.MeaningofCredit
ForthepurposesoftheseArticles,theexpressionsDocumentaryCredit
(s)andStandbyLetter(s)ofCredit(hereinafterreferredtoasCredit(s)
),rmeananyarrangement,howevernamedordescribed,wherebya
bank(theIssuingBank)actingattherequestandontheinstructionsofa
customer(theApplicant)oronitsownbehalf,
stomakeapaymenttoortotheorderofathirdparty(the
Beneficiary),oristoacceptandpaybillsofe(Draft(s))drawn
bytheBeneficiary,or
)authorisesanotherbanktoeffectsuchpayment,ortoacceptandpay
