TheNationalAssociationofMusicMerchants(NAMM)researchestheeffects(影响)ofmusiconchildren.Theyfoundthatplayingmusichaspositiveeffectsonthinkingskillsandconfidence.“Learningmusicalskillscanalsohelpinyourstudiesofothersubjects，suchasmath，readingandlanguage，”LoraBodmer，whoworksatNAMMsaid.Theirstudiesalsoshowedthatmusiccanhelppeopleformfriendshipsandconnectwithdifferentgroups.

EachyearasongismadeforMusicMonday.PeopleacrossNorthAmericawillplayorsingthissongattheexactsametime.Theperformanceismeanttoconnectpeoplethroughmelody(旋律)．
