(2) Haveyouevermadeanagriculturalfieldtrip?Ifso,whathaveyoulearntfromit?
Yes.Ihavelearntthatriceplantsundergothreegeneralgrowthphases:thevegetativephase,
reproductivephaseandripeningphase.Theytakearoundthreetosixmonthstogrowfrom
seedstomatureplants,dependingonthevarietyandenvironmentalconditions.Thereare
differentactivitiesatdifferentphasesofricegrowth,suchassowingseeds,transplanting
seeds,fertilizingandirrigating.
2.Havestudentsdiscusstheimportanceofmakinganagriculturalfieldtrip.
Mostofusmayhavelittleornoknowledgeabouthowparticularcropsarecultivated.
Makingsuchakindoftripisanopportunitytoconnectuswithfarming,engageinhandson
activities,andlearnaboutthevalueoffarming.
