Foryears,accesseffortsinlow-andmiddle-incomecountries(LMICs)focusedlargelyoninfectiousdiseaseslikeHIV,tuberculosis,andmalaria,supportedbydonorfunding,one-offprograms,orfragmentedpublic-privatepartnerships.Thesemodelsbroughtprogress,buttheywerenotbuiltforsustainabilitynorscale.Asnon-communicable

diseases(NCDs)havebecomemoreprevalent,thishaspromptedashifttowardmoreintegrated,long-termaccessmodels.

Withover80%oftheworld’spopulationresidinginLMICs,itisnolongersurprisingthatthesegeographiesarerisingtothetopofcorporateagendas.Theirscalealonemakes

themcentraltothefutureofglobalhealthcareaccessandinnovation.

LMICsarebeginningtooccupyamorecentralplaceinpharma

executives’discussions,notjustasgrowthmarkets,butas

strategicpriorities.Ashealthcaresystemsintheseregions
