TheMoveOperation

UsetheMoveoperationtotransferprotectedvirtualmachinesfromtheprotected(source)sitetothe

recovery(target)siteinannedmigration.

Whenyouperformannedmigrationofthevirtualmachinestotherecoverysite,ZertoVirtual

Replicationassumesthatbothsitesarehealthyandthatyounnedtorelocatethevirtualmachinesin

Afailoverassumesthatconnectivityweenthesitesmightbedown,andthustheprotectedvirtual

machinesanddisksarenotremoved,astheyareinannedMoveoperation.

Whenyousetupafailoveryoualwaysspecifyacheckpointtowhichyouwanttorecoverthevirtual

machines.Whenyouselectacheckpoint–eitherthelastauto-generatedcheckpoint,anearlier

checkpoint,orauser-definedcheckpoint–ZertoVirtualReplicationmakessurethatvirtualmachinesat
