Installation:

•ItishighlyrecommendedthatallpreviousversionsofOptiSystemor

OptiSys_DesignberemovedbeforestartingtheinstallationofOptiSystem7.0

•Ifthelengthoftheinstallationdirectorypathistoolong,itcancausethe

installationtofail.Toavoidthis,itisrecommendedthatyounotexceedthelength

ofthedefaultinstallationpath.

•Duringreinstallation,afterremovaloftheapplicationyoumayreceivean

errormessage.SimplyclickOKontheInstallationFailedscreen,andproceedas

normal.

•BackupyourdatabeforeinstallingOptiSystem7.0ifyouareacurrentuser

ofOptiSystem6.0orearlier.Thesoftwareinstallationprogramsacom-

pletesetofsamp.Thesesampcouldoverwritethecontentsofthesamp

directoryfrompreviousversionsofOptiSystemfoundonyourcomputer.Ifyou

havedataintheOptiSystemsampdirectoryyouwanttokeep,pleasemakea

copyofyoursampdirectorybeforeinstallingOptiSystem7.0toavoidlosing

yourdata.

•IfyouareusingWindowsXPWITHOUTServicePack1,theUSBProtec-

tionKeydriversmaynotinstallproperly.Thiswillcausetheapplicationtofailwith

anerror#102.Inaddition,intheDeviceManager,therewillbedevicecalled

SecurityTokenorUSBTokenthatisknowntohaveproblems.Iftheinstallation

fails,pleaseruntheSentinelDriver32-bitSetup.exefilethatisincludedonthe

installationCDintheMISCsubfolder.
